A Parade Without Barricades

We’re a group of Carnival Crusaders putting Mardi Gras back into the hands of the people. Our values are inclusivity, creativity and sustainability to create a Lafayette Mardi Gras experience like no other.

Krewe de Canailles is a walking parade comprised of individual sub-krewes. Any group of people can pull together to create a krewe. The only rules are your floats have to be man-powered and your throws eco-friendly.

Join us downtown on Friday, February 9th at 7:00 PM as we make Mardi Gras history.

Red Lerille? Wayne Toups? The Cotton Candy Guy from the Cajundome? Pick your favorite Acadiana icon (or icons), and start planning your krewes, costumes, dance routines, and creations!

The parade will roll Friday, February 9 at 7:00 PM and start at the Downtown Lafayette archway. We’ll walk the length of Jefferson St. then through the historic Freetown-Port Rico neighborhood to end with a bash at Warehouse 535. Entry into the after-party is free to all krewe members.
